Two factor authentication

In order to prevent others from accessing your MiniCRM account, it is important to set one of the two-factor authentication options on your Profile page.

If you log in from another mobile phone/computer/browser for the first time, you have to enter a verification code after entering the email address and password. At Two factor authentication > Type field you can set how you want to receive the code.

SMS option can only be selected if you have previously activated SMS sending on your Profile at Contact.

You have to enter the code within 5 minutes after entering the email address and password. If you don’t enter it within 5 minutes, you have to request a new one.

If you choose the Google Authenticator option, you have to install the app on your smartphone.

  1. Install it, and set the Google Authenticator option in MiniCRM.
  2. In the popup window, you can see a QR code and an ID. Both can be used by the app to identify your account, therefore, you only have to use one of them. Add your account and exit the window. This window won’t be displayed later.
  3. After adding your MiniCRM account to Google Authenticator, you can see it in the list everytime you open the app.
  4. If you log into MiniCRM from a new device or browser, you will need to enter the 6-digit code displayed in Google Authenticator.
