There are four different email statuses in the system. The background of the email address indicates which status it is in currently.<\/p>\n

Active<\/strong><\/h3>\n

No background. <\/strong>This email address has signed up for your newsletter, meaning you are allowed to send them mass and custom emails as well.<\/p>\n

Not Subscribed<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gray background. <\/strong>This email address hasn’t yet signed up for your newsletter so you are only allowed to send them custom emails<\/a>. You can also send them an email activation link manually to subscribe them. These email addresses can come from import<\/a> or form<\/a> fill-outs.<\/p>\n

Unsubscribed<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Black background.\u00a0<\/strong>Used to be subscribed to your newsletter but decided to unsubscribe. This happens by clicking on the unsubscribe link<\/a> in mass emails<\/a> sent by you. Unsubscribing<\/a> can also be done manually by you.<\/p>\n

Not working<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Red background.\u00a0<\/strong>Depending on why the sent email bounced back, after between 1 and 10 unsuccessful delivery attempts the address is indicated as not working.<\/span><\/p>\n
